A free farm workshop will be held on November 29 at the Webb City Farmers Market Fruit Education Site

WEBB CITY, Mo. — A free workshop on the farm will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Nov. 29, at the Webb City Farmers Market Education Site at Liku Lee Farm, 15392 Ibex Road, Neosho.

Patrick Byers of the University of Missouri Extension and Angela Brattin of the Lincoln University Cooperative Extension will lead a hands-on discussion on winter irrigation, using shelter in high tunnel plantings of strawberries, and winter bedding blackberries.

The upcoming workshop is aimed at both commercial growers and hobbyists. It is part of the Blackberry, Strawberry and Elderberry Growing Workshop Series and is funded by a grant from the Missouri Department of Agriculture. The workshop will be held in English with Hmong translation available.
