Future employment in the global aerospace, defense and security industry is down 10% in Q3 2022.

According to job analytics GlobalData, the global aerospace, defense and security industry saw a 10% quarter-on-quarter increase in new future job openings in the third quarter of 2022. This compares to a 10% decline in the previous quarter and a 17% increase compared to the third quarter of 2021.

In particular, software and web developers, programmers and testers accounted for 12% of the total number of new job postings in the global aerospace, defense and security industry in the third quarter of 2022, up from 22% less than in the previous quarter.

The top five aerospace, defense and security companies accounted for 8% of hiring

As of Q3 2022, the leading companies in the number of new job postings tracked by GlobalData were Raytheon Technologies boeing, Northrop Grumman and L3Harris Technologies . Together, they accounted for 8% of all future active jobs in the aerospace, defense and security industries.
