With increasing demand from Australia, Fiji Airways has announced that it is adding more services to neighboring islands Tonga and Samoa. New services give Australians more options to travel to these tropical islands, connecting through the Fiji hub Nadi International Airport (NAN) from Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. Fiji Airways Managing Director and CEO Andre Viljoen said with the peak tourist season approaching, the airline was excited to offer Australians more South Pacific Ocean directions. He told Travel Weekly:

“Flights to Tonga and Samoa are ahead of expectations, with Sydney accounting for the majority of traffic. We’re seeing a spike in demand for flights from Brisbane to Tonga in December and a spike in demand for flights from Melbourne to Samoa in January.”
