Dan Hatching, CNN

The 50th American Music Awards took place Sunday night at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

Produced by Dick Clark Productions and ABC, the show was hosted by Wayne Brady.

The star-studded event celebrated the best music and performances of the year as voted by fans.

Puerto Rican artist Bad Bunny topped this year’s list of nominees with the most nominations, earning eight, including his first ever Artist of the Year. He ended up taking home two awards – Favorite Latin Artist and Favorite Latin Album for “Un Verano Sin Ti.”

However, the night belonged to Taylor Swift, who won in all six categories in which she was nominated, including Artist of the Year, which was the top award of the night. Those wins cemented Swift as the most decorated artist in AMA history with 40 career wins.
