NCBA National Anthem Contest Winner: Franki Moscato

The National Cattlemen’s Beef Association has chosen the winner of the National Anthem Contest – Franki Moscato of Oshkosh, Wisconsin. As the winner of the 10th Annual National Anthem Contest, Moscato will sing Banner with stars at the 2023 Cattle Industry Convention and NCBA Trade Show in New Orleans. Attendees will hear it during the Opening General Session as well as at the Friday night “Party Gras” concert.

“Farming has been part of my family history since before my ancestors arrived from Wales in 1857,” Moscato said. “It’s an honor to be chosen to sing for an industry that means so much to me.”

“My great [times 7] grandfather came from Wales 165 years ago and bought 200 acres of farm where all my relatives are buried in the Ring. We were dairy farmers until only recent years, but the land continues to be close to the vest. Wisconsin is home to 3.5 million cattle ($1.7 billion in cash receipts) but is declining. I want to be part of the solution,” Moscato wrote on her social media accounts.

Moscato first sang the National Anthem at age 11, performed at Lambeau Field and competed on the television show american idol. She has been cast in two feature films and a series of human trafficking documentaries used in schools across the country. Moscato is actively involved in her community as a hospital volunteer and created the Franki Moscato Foundation to fight the teen suicide epidemic. She inspires children to recognize bullying and suicide awareness through regular school assembly performances and keynote presentations.

“My goal is to inspire people of all ages to try their best, take risks and do things they might not otherwise try,” Moscato said.

As the winner of the contest, sponsored by veterinary pharmaceutical company Norbrook, Moscato will receive round-trip airfare to the New Orleans convention, a three-night hotel room, convention registration, a meeting hosted by Norbrook, plus a pair of boots . , jeans and a shirt from Roper or Stetson.

Online voting by the public determined the winner.
