A look at Lazzarini’s “air yacht” concept

Italians are famous for being at the forefront of design innovation. The new Air Yacht concept, developed by the Italian design studio Pierpaolo Lazzarini, is the latest proof of this incredible ability. As the name suggests, the new Air Yacht is both a yacht that can sail the seas and a private jet that can take its owner around the world. Let’s take a look at this amazing item of futuristic design together.

Sky Yacht Structure

This may sound like science fiction, but it’s true. Or at least the project has already become a reality. The Italian design studio Lazzarini has developed a chic and ecological flying yacht. But what would it look like?

SIMPLE VIDEO OF THE DAY

Imagine a ship 150 meters long, connected by four bridges with two side airships with a total width of 80 meters. Each of the two floating airships will be divided into hives or cells that act as helium compartments. Indeed, if a private air yacht owner wants to take to the skies, all he has to do is release the helium compressed in the tanks in two airships.

On the other hand, if the owner gets tired of looking at the world from above, he may decide to sail the sea. Indeed, at the bottom, the two balloons have inflatable bases that allow the air yacht to float on the water. Depressurizing the helium and its ballast anchor allows the Air Yacht to travel at five knots.

Four counter-rotating engines of 950 horsepower (hp) each are attached to the outer sides of the airships. Powered by ultra-lightweight batteries and solar panels, the Air Yacht can fly at a top speed of 60 knots for more than two days straight at ground zero. threw out. In addition, the entire structure has been designed using carbon fiber, a highly durable and lightweight material.

Using helium, lightweight batteries, solar panels to power four motors and lightweight carbon for its construction, the Air Yacht is at the forefront stable air flights. A statement from Lazzarini Design Studio said:

“With the Air Yacht, there’s a way to sail the skies without the emissions that harm the future”

Living quarters of the Sky yacht

If the exterior structure of an air yacht has the wow factor, wait until you see what’s inside…

A spacious living room and a dining room are located in the central torpedo-shaped structure with a length of 80 meters. Four carbon bridges, two on each side of the main structure, connect it to the two side airships. Here, the owner’s guests can find ten bathrooms, five in each balloon. All ten suites offer breathtaking 360-degree views. The owner’s master cabin, pictured below, is instead located in the center of the Air Yacht, which also offers a stunning 360-degree view.

The Air Yacht can therefore accommodate up to 22 guests in 11 cabins. A swimming pool awaits guests on the roof, and a helipad allows a helicopter to take off and land to transport the owner and his guests to land. Indeed, the size of the Air Yacht does not allow it to be parked in a marina. In addition to the helipad, the Air Yacht also has a retractable ladder that allows guests to board a smaller boat to access the harbor.

The estimated cost of the air yacht is a whopping $627,511,500. Pierpaolo Lazzarini promised the private owner who ordered the Air Yacht, a German businessman, to lift the prototype of the first large-scale model into the air by the end of 2022. Additionally, a series of different designs of varying lengths are in the early stages of the development and prototyping process.
