Want to skip the line and get through airport security faster than other travelers during the holidays? Kayak and Clear have a great deal for travelers that runs until December 31st!

Online travel agency Kayak has recently shared promotion in alliance with Clear, a software company specializing in airport security, to offer users a a three-month free CLEAR Plus membership! Users do not need to make any purchases to receive the benefits, but there are a few considerations that travelers should keep in mind.

A Clear membership normally costs $189 per year. This is one of the most expensive memberships to expedite processes at US airports, especially considering that the fee for TSA PreCheck was recently marked down and now only $78 for a 5-year membership.

While TSA PreCheck helps travelers pass through special and faster lines at more than 200 airport security stations using biometric information, Clear Plus offers an even faster service, but is only allowed at more than 45 airports. Clear uses ultra-fast screening machines that recognize passengers by eyes or fingerprints in seconds.

Kayak has partnered with Clear to offer travelers special services and take the stress out of passengers this holiday season. To receive a free three-month Clear Plus membership, travelers must to count through the Kayak platform until December 31 of this year.

Including all major airports such as Miami International Airport (MIA) which is popular because it has the longest security wait time—, LaGuardia (LGA), Newark (EWR), Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL), and more.

Once registered, Clear members will not need to show their IDs; they can be verified using eyes or fingerprints.

The special Clear program can be combined with TSA PreCheck. Travelers with both memberships can go through the fastest security screening processes and there will be no need to remove shoes, laptops and other electronic devices or take off light jackets.

Another strategy passengers can use to apply for Superfast Airport Transit is to also enroll in Global Entry to gain access to special lanes at US customs when they arrive from international travel. Global Entry includes TSA PreCheck and costs $100 for five years, but it’s only worth it when traveling abroad.

Biometric recognition is becoming more and more popular and now more Airports around the world are installing electronic gates to expedite immigration and security processes. However, there are still many airports that do not have this technology, and airports are expected to be crowded this holiday season.
