Zach Snyder’s space opera ‘Rebel Moon’ is released on Netflix. Here is the first concept art and full cast.
The universe is a nasty vacuum, and so in Hollywood, where the current lack of mega-budget space operas likeSpace“and”Dune“Rebel Moon”, a fantastic new science fiction project directed by Zach Snyder (“The Watchmen”, “Man of Steel”, “Justice League”), and we got a first look at some exciting concept of art shared through Twitter.
As it turned out on Variety February 9 “Rebel Moon” is a science fiction saga for which it is created Netflix who has a certain “Seven Samurai”, Akira Kurosawa and actually started life as a grand “Star Wars“Based on the film almost ten years ago before Disney took over Lucasfilm in 2012.
Snyder wrote the screenplay in collaboration with Shay Hatten and Kurt Johnstad. The usual plot revolves around a mysterious young girl who must embark on a recruitment mission across the galaxy to find mercenaries who will help a peaceful outpost against the military offensive of the tyrannical regent Baliarius.
In addition to the previously announced starring role of Sophia Butela, the rest of the cast of “The Monetman” includes Charlie Hannam, Jimon Hanes, Dono Bay, Ray Fisher, Jenna Malone, Stas Nair, E. Duffy, E. Duffy, Charlotte Maggie and Skye Young. Fisher was last seen in Snyder’s “Justice League” as Cyborg and Malone, who starred in the controversial directorial film “Sucker Blow.”
Following the acquisition of Lucasfilm by Disney, the script began a major transformation into a property devoid of “Star Wars World connections and into something more original that could turn into a long franchise of prequels, animated spin-offs and sequels.
Snyder and his wife Deborah Snyder will produce “Rebel Moon” with Wesley Color through their production company The Stone Quarry. Eric Newman and Sarah Bowen Grand Electric’s creative tiles will also be attached to the executive producer.
