CENTENNIAL, Colo. — The National Cattlemen’s Association (NCBA) announces that Frankie Moscato of Oshkosh, Wis., is the winner of the 10th Annual National Anthem Contest sponsored by Norbrook®. Moscato will sing “The Star Spangled Banner” at the 2023 NCBA Cattle Convention and Trade Show in New Orleans during the opening general session and at the “Party Gras” evening concert on Friday.
“Farming has been part of my family’s history since before my ancestors arrived from Wales in 1857,” Moscato said. “It’s an honor to be chosen to sing for an industry that means so much to me.”
Moscato sang the national anthem for the first time at the age of 11, performed at Lambeau Field and appeared on the TV show “American Idol”. She was featured in two feature films and a documentary series on human trafficking that was used in schools across the country. Moscato is active in her community as a hospital volunteer, and she created the Frankie Moscato Foundation to fight the growing epidemic of teen suicide. She inspires children to recognize bullying and suicide through regular school presentations and keynote speeches.
“My goal is to inspire people of all ages to try their best, take risks and do things they might not otherwise try,” Moscato said.
As the contest winner, Moscato will receive round-trip airfare to New Orleans, a three-night hotel room, convention registration, a meeting hosted by Norbrook®, and a pair of boots, jeans and a Roper or Stetson shirt. . An online public vote determined the winner.
The Annual Cattle Show & NCBA Trade Show is the oldest and largest cattle convention. The 2023 convention will be held February 1-3 and will feature education, entertainment and meetings from the NCBA, Cattlemen’s Beef Board, CattleFax, National Cattlemen’s Foundation and American National CattleWomen.
