Washington Wizards Say Goodbye to Scott Brooks Head Coach

June 16th (UPI)- The· Washington Wizards Head coach announced on Wednesday Scott Brooks General manager Tommy Sheppard will not return to the team next season, saying it is his decision not to renew Brooks’ contract.

“It’s something from a personal point of view that was very, very difficult,” Shepherd said. Told reporters.. “Scottie is probably one of the best people I’ve ever worked with in my life … my dear best friend, but in this business, unless it’s about the consequences of moving forward and the ability to improve. In five seasons with Wizards, Brooks edited 183-207 records in three playoff appearances, including a trip to the Eastern Conference Semifinals in the 2016-17 campaign.

Wizards begins a search for coaching, trying to understand the future of beer as it enters the final year of its contract next season. Shepherd said the team’s search was “very thorough and very robust” and included “a very diverse and inclusive group of people.”
