Siam Park, a popular water park in Spain, has been recognized by Tripadvisor as the best theme park in the world. Park won a Traveler’s Choice Award recognizing it not only the best water park in the world, but also the best amusement park. Siam Park holds the title of the best water park in the world for eight years in a row, but in 2022 the park was first recognized as the best overall amusement park.

Tripadvisor provides Traveler’s Choice Awards based on visitor ratings, making it clear that Siam Park is a popular choice for vacationers from around the world. The park was designed by Christophe Kisling, who drew inspiration Thailand. Walking through the park, guests are greeted by Thai-style buildings, a floating market, Thai food and streams paired with tropical fish.

Siam Park is located in Tenerife, Spainwhich is one of the warmest Canary Islands in winterwhich makes it an ideal place to relax at any time of the year. And just in case guests show up on a day when it will be cooler, the water in the park is heated to 75 degrees Fahrenheit (24 degrees Celsius). At the entrance, guests are greeted by residents of the Sea Lions Park. The park is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and the best time to show up is the opening time before the crowd arrives. Travelers heading to the park for the first time are advised to buy a ticket in advance, which will save time when entering the park.

The park has many attractions that will suit everyone, from adrenaline to families with young children. The Lost City is a part of the park designed for children, and there is even a special area for babies. Beach chairs are set up on the edge of the Lost City so parents can keep an eye on their little ones while on holiday. Another area specifically for children is Sawasdee, which includes four smaller versions of the park’s more popular slides.

For thrill seekers, the Tower of Power is arguably the most adrenaline-fueled attraction in the park. The slide is about 90 feet high and has an almost vertical drop that moves guests up to nearly 50 miles per hour. The end of the descent leads guests through the middle of an aquarium filled with sharks and stingrays. After experiencing an encounter with a shark, guests can head to Singha, a 780-foot-long water slide that develops speeds of up to 40 miles per hour.

Chasing thrills on the park’s many slides, guests can descend on the Mai Tai River, the park’s lazy river. There are two routes along the river, the main one lasting about thirty minutes. If desired, you can take a faster route that passes through a tunnel under a shark aquarium. After a lazy river washes away the last bits of adrenaline left from the slides, guests can head to Wave Palace to enjoy the waves, which can reach about 10 feet, to make their hearts beat again.

There are plenty of impressions to fill the day at Siam Park, and guests of all ages are welcome. Lockers are available for rent, small lockers from 3 euros. Action cameras are allowed for guests who like to document their trips, but only if they have a chest strap. Flip-flops are not allowed on the rides, but water shoes are accepted and can be purchased at Floating Market stores. For those who are cold, despite the heated water and the warm temperature of Tenerife, you can buy and rent wetsuits for 25 euros and 5 euros respectively.
