The winners of the essay contest for the National Day of Ag 2022 have been announced

Every year, on National Agriculture Day, we take the time to recognize and celebrate the abundance of agriculture. Even though the National Agriculture Day is not until March 22, the holidays started early with a contest of essays and videos. The Council of Agriculture of America (ACA) has announced the video of the National Day of Agriculture 2022 and the winners of the written essays.

The winners were chosen on the theme: American agriculture: raising a climate for tomorrow. Participants could choose to either write an essay or create a video.

“CHS has long supported education and leadership programs for young people in rural areas, and we are proud to offer the winners of this year’s essay competition a platform that allows them to share their ideas with a wider audience,” said Annette Degnan. The national winner of the essay written, Haden Coleman of Trinity, Texas, will receive a $ 1,000 prize and will read his winning essay at the Ag Day virtual event on March 22, 2022. The contest also nominated two winners of $ 100 merit. and blog posts featuring them. essays. They are Rebekah Vague of Ellsworth, Kansas and Makenna Stundebeck of Salisbury, Missouri.

In his essay, Coleman wrote, “I hope to be one of those individuals who can make a difference in the industry and make a difference in the health and well-being of the people around me.”

In addition to the essay, there is a video contest. The winner of this year’s video essay, Kenna Mullins from Oxford, Pennsylvania, wins a $ 1,000 prize. That video can be found below or on Ag Day website together with the winners of the written essays.

On March 22, 2022, producers, agricultural associations, corporations, universities, government agencies, and countless others in America will come together to recognize the contributions of agriculture.
