The National Exhibition of Poultry moved between June 22-23

New data – and a new format – have been announced for the 2022 National Poultry Show.

The event will take place on June 22-23. It will be presented by the National Poultry Show to allow flexibility for changes that may be needed for ongoing restrictions, such as an outdoor dining area instead of the popular indoor lunch buffet.

“We questioned our exhibitors and participants, and we heard overwhelmingly that the April data was not yet comfortable for people, but June was an opportunity to come together as an industry,” said Bridget Mahon, agricultural fair manager for Western Fair. Association (WFA). “June’s show data also allows for more flexibility to host the vaccination center that is still housed in the Western Fair District Agriplex.”

What can producers expect at Open House?

The show’s organizers, WFA and Poultry Industry Council (PIC), said in a statement that the production should “anticipate a strong B2B focus for the event, combined with educational cafes, social connection with industry colleagues and new equipment and technology.”

Organizers said they anticipate unique pieces of equipment coming from abroad and hope that extending the event’s data by June allows for more flexibility with current supply chain concerns.

Tickets are expected to go on sale in April, and participants should see some discounts on tickets for this year. The open will follow any provincial health and safety guidelines available at the time of the event.
