Stevens Point, Wisconsin – At a brief meeting held immediately after the annual meeting of the Wisconsin Potato and Vegetable Growers Association (WPVGA) on February 10 in Stevens Point, the WPVGA Board of Directors elected Alex Okray, 20 President of the family. year

The county (county 2) replaces Bill Guntner (county 1) with Guenthner Farms Inc., Antigua, who served as chairman of the board in 2021. Randy Fleischauer of Plover River Farms, Stevens Point (At-Large County), was elected vice president; Guntner was elected secretary; and Mike Carter of Bushmans’ Inc., Rosholt (County 2), was elected Treasurer.

In addition to the four board officers, other members of the WPVGA board of directors include: John Bustamante of the Wysocki Family of Companies, Bancroft (District 2); Wendy Dixtra of Alsum Farms & Produce, Friesland (District 3); Josh Knights of Heartland Farms, Inc., Hancock (County 3); Charlie Matek of JW Mattek & Sons, Inc., Deerbrook (County 1); and JD Schroeder of Schroeder Bros. Farms, Inc., Antigua (District 1).

The WPVGA Associate Board elects Cartwright

The WPVGA Associate Division Board of Directors has elected Julie Cartwright of Jay-Mar, Inc., Plover, as its President for 2022. Matt Selenske of the Pest Pros Division of Allied Cooperative, Adams, was elected vice president of the board.

Other directors for 2022 include: Andrew Curran of R&R Insurance, Appleton; Morgan Forbusch, McCain Foods USA, Inc., Wisconsin Rapids; Ethan Olson, TH Agri-Chemicals, Inc., Plainfield; Paul Salm (Treasurer) of BMO Harris Bank, Altoona; Sally Surprise (Secretary), C&D Professional Insurance Services, Waupaca; and Andy Verhaselt of TIP, Inc., Custer.

Surprise was a current board member of the associate department, who was re-elected to the board for a second term. Carran, Forbusch and Olson were elected for the first terms in the Council. They replace Chris Brooks, Central Door Solutions, who served on the Board for two terms, one as president; Rich Wilcox, First State Bank, who served two terms on the board as treasurer; and Justin Yach, Compass Insurance Services, who served one term on the board.

Galenberg was unanimously elected president of the WSPIA

As part of the annual meeting of the Wisconsin Seed Potato Improvement Association (WSPIA), held January 26 in Antigua, the WSPIA Board of Directors elected Roy Galenberg of Gallenberg Farms, Inc., Antigo, president for 2022. Inc., Antigo, who served as chairman of the board in 2021. Matt Mattek of JW Mattek & Sons, Inc., Dirbrook, was elected vice president; and Andy Schroeder of Schroeder Brothers Farms, Antigua, was elected Secretary / Treasurer.

In addition to the three board officers, two other directors on the WSPIA board are Charlie Hasnik, Baginski Farms, Antigo and Jeff Suhon, Bushman’s Riverside Ranch, Inc., Krivits.
