Kim Marsh has tested positive for Covid and will miss this weekend’s Strictly Come Dancing. She and partner Graziano di Primo will remain in the competition and are expected to return next week BBC confirmed.
The couple had to perform a dance of their choice to Chaka Khan’s I Feel For You. In a statement, a spokesperson for Strictly said: “Kim Marsh has tested positive for Covid-19.
“As a result, Kim and Graziano will not be taking part in Strictly Come Dancing this weekend. Strictly Come Dancing protocols mean that, if all goes well, they’ll be back next week.’
Marsh and di Prima have finished in the top three of the judges’ leaderboards three times since the series began in September, but the pair’s scores have differed. The pair were second from bottom on Saturday’s leaderboard in Blackpool but were not in the bottom two.
Apart from Kim Marsh, the remaining contestants are Fleur East, Helen Skelton, Hamza Yasin, Will Mellor, Molly Rainford and Ellie Taylor. Tyler West was the eighth contestant to leave Strictly Come Dancing last weekend.
Tyler and his partner Diane Buswell performed salsa to a mega-mix of KC and the sunshine band, scoring a solid 35 points. The pair faced off against Molly Rainford and Carlos Gu, whose Jive to Bandstand by Barry Manilow won over the judges, with Motsi Mabuse, Shirley Ballas and Craig Revel Horwood voting to save them, while Anton Du Beke voted for Tyler and Diane.
