SIA Engineering (Philippines) has signed an agreement with a specialist from North American Aerospace Industries (NAAI) to provide sustainable, end-to-end aircraft recycling solutions.
Under the agreement, a wholly owned subsidiary of SIA Engineering (SIAEC) and NAAI will work together to provide a range of services including aircraft parking and storage, activities to assemble and dismantle components on aircraft to be separated and recycled by NAAI.
SIA Engineering said the program will increase its “support in the aircraft life cycle ecosystem focused on a sustainable platform that includes recycling, recycling and serviceability of materials.” Services will be provided by SIA Engineering (Philippines) at a facility in Clark, Philippines.
“With SIAEC Group’s strong technical capabilities, high-quality engineering support, extensive experience and understanding of our customers’ service, repair and overhaul needs, we look forward to supporting NAAI in developing sustainable solutions for the aircraft parts market,” said SIA Engineering CEO ) Marek Wernicke.
NAAI Director and Chief Executive Officer Sven Daniel Kohler said: “We are excited and proud to be working with SIAEC. We believe that by securing this agreement with SIAEC, NAAI will be in a better position as a leading specialist in aircraft dismantling and recycling. ”
The transaction is not expected to have a material effect on earnings per share or net tangible assets per share of SIAEC Group for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2022.
