Sharjah Airport has been accredited by ACI’s Airports Customer Experience

Sharjah Airport (SHJ) has been recognized by the ACI Airports Customer Accreditation Program, securing it a leading position among the top eight airports in the Middle East to hold such accreditation. The airport received this accreditation after meeting the requirements of the first level of the program, which is designed to offer a comprehensive overview of customer experience management at airports.

This approval is a testament to the thorough system that Sharjah Airport maintains to ensure customer satisfaction, in addition to numerous initiatives such as the Because We Care… program. It aims to increase customer participation by presenting their suggestions, expectations and initiatives to introduce changes or implement innovative ideas that they consider important in the airport’s operations.

Reiterating the authorities’ commitment to provide travelers with safe and smooth travel, His Excellency (HH) Ali Salim Al Midfa, Chairman of the Sharjah International Airport Authority, commented: “We put the customer first in all airport operations and tasks as we put their satisfaction at the heart of of all our plans and goals. The airport offers channels of communication with passengers to find out their requirements and expectations, and then regularly evaluates their experience by measuring their level of satisfaction.’

HE added: “We welcome the certification as an endorsement Sharjah AirportCommitted to delivering the highest standards of quality and luxury in line with our strategic objectives to enhance customer experience.”

H.E. Al Midfa received the award during the World Customer Experience Summit sponsored by Airports Council International (ACI) and held in Krakow, Poland, in addition to receiving the award for “Best Airport” in providing excellent service to customers in the Middle East of 5-15 million passenger category per year which was announced in March 2022.

The airport provides customers with several innovative services, including self-service rides, smart gates and a smart information desk to enhance the overall experience. In addition, the airport has also made available various platforms to seek suggestions, complaints and feedback from customers, including through surveys, email and smartphone applications.
