Priscilla Rodriguez of the Western Ag Processors Association completes a prestigious leadership program in agriculture

A journey began on October 10th2019, which lasted more than 27 months and finally reached a conclusion for the Director of Regulatory Affairs of the Association, Priscilla Rodriguez, on February 5, 2022.

This trip covered a period of over 27 months and included meetings covering more than 125 days, not including travel and study time. It included trips to Atlanta, GA and Washington, DC, as well as Germany, Poland and the Czech Republic. Rodriguez was one of 24 members of the 50th grade of the California Agricultural Leadership Foundation who completed his program where he began at Fresno State University in California on February 5th.th.

Disturbed by the Covid pandemic, but not discouraged, the 50th grade withstood the storm to complete its program last month. Rodriguez had the distinct honor of addressing the beginning of class 50 in his opening remarks. In her comments, she began by saying: “I started this program as a foreigner, I quickly became friends and eventually family. The bonds and friendships created by the program will continue in the years to come. Maybe we all have different stories, but one thing is true for all of us. This program has had a lasting impact on the books I’ve read, the people I’ve met, and the unforgettable experiences I’ve had. ” She concluded her opening remarks by encouraging her classmates, “As we move forward in our lives, we challenge ourselves to remain open-minded, curious, empathetic, passionate, resilient, and grateful, and to make an impact on families, communities. , ag. industry and the world. ”

Truly words to live for, not only for her colleagues, but for all of us.

The President of the Association / CEO Roger Isom remarked after the event: “Priscilla was made for the CALF program and the CALF program was made for her. The association is incredibly proud of her for this achievement, and her speech indicates her growth and the very type of leader she has begun to become.
