Guests on Princess Cruises ships, which depart for Cape San Lucas, Puerto Vallarta, all ports of Alaska, as well as St. Thomas, have the opportunity to use the contactless option to purchase a MedallionPay cruise line.
The payment option also gives users a 7% credit on board the ship when shopping on shore. Guests enjoy the option of paying through their Princess Medallion wearable device.
“MedallionPay offers maximum convenience and payment security for guests both on board and now at the ports we visit, seamlessly combining on-board experience and destination,” said in a release John Paget, President of Princess Cruises.
The latest retailers hosting MedallionPay are Diamonds International and Cariloha, as well as more than 65 other retailers from restaurants, bars, gift shops and jewelers to museums and tour operators.
“We are excited to collaborate on the MedallionPay program with Princess Cruises,” said Wendy Tarapani, Diamonds International in a release.
No credit card or personal information is stored on the Medallion. When making purchases with retailers, sellers securely confirm the transaction with two-factor authentication that exceeds a typical credit card transaction.
