On Tuesday, prices at the livestock complex rose again because, technically speaking, the contracts receive huge support. The cash hog market jumped nearly $ 3.00 higher and traded a staggering amount of pigs. Now the cash market just needs to follow this trend for a week.
Pig prices closed higher according to the National Direct Afternoon Pig Report, up $ 2.90 from a weighted average of $ 89.41 per 13,406 head.
March corn fell 17 3/4 cents a bushel, and March soybean meal fell $ 9.60. The Dow Jones industrial index rose 422.67 points and the NASDAQ rose 348.84 points.
