MELFORT, Sask. – The federal government finances precision agriculture projects.
Ukko Agro Inc. will receive up to $ 875,000 to develop an analytical platform to help fight disease and insects in a variety of cultures.
CEO Ketan Kavish said the ForSite platform gives agronomists up to seven days of recommendations for field spraying.
“Ukko is actively working with other agribusinesses to integrate its forecasting capabilities with farm management systems to help farmers make active agronomic and operational decisions,” Kavish said.
