Netflix announced in a regulatory filing on September 23 that Ken Barker, the streamer’s chief accountant for the past four months, is stepping down on October 7.

Streamer said Barker’s resignation was a personal decision and not the result of a disagreement with the company over any issue related to Netflix’s finances, operations, policies or practices.

Following Barker’s departure, CFO Spencer Neumann will assume the role of chief accounting officer, while Netflix searches for a permanent replacement.

According to the document, Neumann will not receive any additional compensation in connection with assuming the duties of chief accountant.
