Lower milk futures, mixed cash dairy

Milk futures on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange ended lower on Thursday as cheese stocks rose, while cash markets were mixed.

October Grade III milk was down 24 cents at $21.46. November fell 16 cents to $21.27. December fell 22 cents to $21.18. January unchanged at $20.97. Contracts from February to April were unchanged.

Dry whey down $0.0010 to $0.44. Only one sale was made at that price.

Locks $0.0352 at $2.00. Seven trades were made from $2.00 to $2.04.

Barrels were up $0.0150 at $2.19. Four sells were made from $2.18 to $2.19.

Increase $0.0225 to $3.13. Two trades were made at $3.1250 and $3.13.

Plain non-fat dry milk at $1.56.
