Londonderry YFC holds a tractor driving competition

Two representatives from each of the district clubs took part in the tractor driving competitions, which took place at the Swatra cattle market.

Participants were asked to drive a tractor and trailer on a difficult route in the shortest possible time.

Well done to our two winners, David Kelso (Kilrea YFC) and John Gilfillan (Dungiven YFC), who will now represent Co Londonderry at the Balmoral Show finals.

In the evening there was also a district competition for soil assessment, the members of which completed the assessment of the soil sample.

The county is taking this opportunity to thank Swatragh Livestock Market for permission to use their location, Stephen Moore Machinery for using the tractor, Stephen Arthur for using his trailer, and Robin Bolton for completing the soil assessment.
