Last few days to apply for EFS Wider Tranche 6

EFS The wider Tranche 6 agreements will commence on 1 January 2023 and will run for five years until 31 December 2027.

AgricultureMinister of Environment and Rural Affairs Edwin Poots visited several EFS farmers over the past 12 months.

He commented: “I would encourage all farmers in Northern Ireland to really think about what EFS can bring to the farm.

“In these ever-changing times, we must all look for ways to balance nature and food production.

“I encourage anyone who is thinking about it to apply as soon as possible before the September 23 deadline.”

* If you need help with your application, make an appointment for digital assistance at your local DAERA office. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, places are limited, so book early

If you had a previous EFS Wider Tranche 1 agreement and wish to apply again, it is important to note that previously created options cannot be claimed or re-submitted at the same location in Tranche 6.

You have no obligations under the Scheme until you sign the EFS Agreement.

There are currently no plans for further EFS Wider application periods.
