According to the research of A Brits superstorewhich analyzed more than 26.5 million UK search results to determine the nation’s favorite coffee, the PSL has a way to go and may be best confined to the autumn months.
Based on total searches over the last 12 months, the research shows that vanilla is by far the favorite syrup added to coffee, receiving more than 41,000 searches last year and overtaking Pumpkin spice for more than 14,000 searches.
When it comes to the most popular type of coffee, bleary-eyed Brits prefer stronger coffee to kick-start their day, with espresso reigning supreme and latte lagging behind.
The study also analyzed the most popular brands of coffee and Great Britain cafe chains based on the last 12 months.
The results show that the most popular coffee brand is Lavazza with over 200,000 searches.
Meanwhile Costa coffeedespite the fact that the pumpkin spice latte has been replaced with a maple nut version, is the most popular coffee chain in the UK with over 5.2 million searches.
