French cloud company InterCloud is raising 100 million euros in a round of funding

France’s InterCloud said on Tuesday it had raised another 100 million euros ($ 114.43 million) to support its international expansion in the latest round of fundraising.

InterCloud, which helps companies access multiple cloud resources across a single platform, said the investment will expand its international sales team, starting in Europe, and will add about 50 people this year alone.

InterCloud, launched in 2010, has teamed up with major cloud computing providers such as Microsoft, Amazon AWS and Alphabet Inc, Google Cloud.

The company said it also plans to use the funds for research and development, partnerships and acquisitions.

Existing investors InterCloud Ventech and Open CNP have participated in the latest capital increase led by investment company Aleph Capital, the company said.

It has already raised € 38 million in previous rounds of funding, which included investments from Orange Digital Ventures – now Orange Ventures – and Bpifrance, among others.
