Farmers Celebrate World Agriculture Prayer Day at NFMS

The national exhibition of agricultural machinery will change the excitement of new equipment and technology with something more solemn and introspective. On Friday morning (February 18), farmers and other participants in the show will gather in Freedom Hall at the Kentucky Exposition Center to worship and raise donations for the victims. deadly tornadoes in December.

You recognize Greg and his brothers in their YouTube videos that educate the world about agriculture through parodies and vlogs. But Greg and his wife Brooke Anna Peterson are also young farmers who are strong in their faith. They will share their story and sing at the event on Friday morning.

Greg Peterson said: “We will pray for the country, the industry, and we will thank God for the harvest. In difficult times, we have two choices — we can mourn and lose hope, or we can pray to God and unite. I believe that God hears and answers our prayers. ”

Country singer Sam L. Smith

Country and Christian musician Sam L. Smith will open the event with music from 7:00 to 7:30 p.m. Famous for his connection to the FFA and agriculture, Smith’s single Blue jackets talk about what it means for someone to wear the famous blue velvet jacket.

Former US Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue

In addition to prayer, the event raises money for those affected by the December tornadoes. Praying Farmers linked to two organizations – The Samaritan’s purse and Brotherhood of Christian Farmers – to organize donation efforts. February 18 was declared Global Agriculture Prayer Day for this event.
