Embraer, TUI’s link to the aircraft builder pool program

Embraer and the TUI Group have signed a pool program contract to support TUI’s Embraer E195-E2 fleet.

TUI Group will take a long-term lease of three E195-E2 aircraft from AerCap from the lessor’s existing fleet, which will be delivered in a single-class configuration with 136 seats in the first half of 2023.

The contract will give the airline access to component sharing and repair services for more than 340 repairable and interchangeable parts for TUI’s Embraer aircraft. The Embraer Pool program currently supports more than 50 airlines worldwide.

“In addition to access to all Embraer spare parts, TUI will rely on OEM expertise to support its E2 fleet,” said Danielle Vardara, Embraer Vice President Services & Support.

“Signing this new agreement with Embraer for the E195-E2 Pool program ensures high component availability and access to a comprehensive package of support and services. This will allow us to operate our new E2 jets for our guests to TUI’s high operational standards,” said Gert Sommers, TUI’s director of engineering and maintenance.

The Embraer Pool program is designed to allow airlines to minimize their initial investment in valuable repair inventory and resources while taking advantage of Embraer’s technical expertise and extensive network of component repair service providers. The result is significant savings in repair and inventory costs, a reduction in warehouse space required, and a virtual elimination of the need for resources required to manage repairs, ultimately ensuring a guaranteed level of productivity.
