eBay engages sellers with ‘Sneak Peek’ conference event.

eBay will give sellers who register for the annual eBay Open conference, “let’s go” on Sept. 8, but they must register for eBay Open by Sept. 1 to receive an invitation to the event. (eBay Open will be held practically on September 21-23.)
One reason for a teaser event is that it gives sellers ideas about what events they might want to attend. Speakers will talk about their sessions, and “you’ll also get advice from experienced sellers on how to plan your agenda for eBay Open,” eBay said.
Another reason for the pre-conference teaser event appears to be usability, as eBay said it will give eBay Open virtual conference attendees a chance to try out the new platform before the main event.
eBay described the eBay Open event as follows: “Join thousands of online sellers for three afternoons of seller-led training and sessions, category breakouts, keynotes, seller panels, networking and more. Choose your own agenda to help grow your business and deepen your connections” You can sign up using the link at website hopin.com.
While the main conference is online, eBay will host in-person events for sellers on September 23 in New York, Austin and Los Angeles. 3 hours eBay Open Studio sessions include eBay Open closing parties. Attendees will be able to participate in a question-and-answer session with “eBay leaders,” which will include an hour of networking.
eBay is also hosting the eBay Open event in Berlin, Germany on September 7-8 and the annual eBay Connect 2022 developer conference in October.
