Dubai Helipark Begins Expansion | Business Aviation News: International Aviation News

Dubai Helicopter Park has started construction on a 461,000 square foot facility at the Mohammed Bin Rashid Aerospace Center (MBRAH). The rotorcraft facility, being built in partnership with Air Chateau International and located adjacent to the private aircraft FBO, will include a dedicated hangar complex large enough to accommodate maintenance services and an extended ramp that can accommodate up to 12 helicopters in compared to eight now.

There will also be a VIP lounge and a helicopter lounge. Air Chateau started operating helicopters in the heliport in 2022.

MBRAH is located between Dubai International Airport (OMDB) and Abu Dhabi International Airport (OMAA) and close to Al Maktoum International Airport (OMDW). OMDW is on a phased development path to make it the world’s largest airport with an area of ​​35,000 acres and a capacity of up to 260 million passengers per year.

The hub is located 23 miles southwest of Dubai and opened in 2010. MBRAH, located adjacent to the Jebel Ali Seaport and served by the cargo handling service of the Dubai National Air Transport Agency, is designed as a fully integrated multimodal aviation ecosystem, serving commercial passenger and cargo as well as private aviation.
