Culver’s celebrates FFA National Week with the annual FFA Essay Contest

Since its inception in 1984, Culver’s has been passionate about the importance of agriculture in providing ingredients for great food and creating a better world. As FFA National Week (February 19-26), the national restaurant chain celebrates its relationship with the organization of future agricultural leaders by launching its eighth annual category. FFA essay competition.

Culver’s long-standing relationship with the FFA is part of this Thank you Farmers Project, an initiative that aims to celebrate and support the role of agriculture in creating a more resilient and sustainable world.

“We know how important it is to promote the impact of agriculture in the world, and FFA members are among the young leaders working for this mission,” said Alison Demmer, Culver Marketing Specialist and former Wisconsin FFA President. “The essay competition gives them the opportunity to continue to explore their passion and use their voice to share the importance of agriculture in the world, while trying to earn money for their FFA chapter.”

Three winners will be selected, who will win prizes of $ 7,500, $ 5,000 and $ 2,500 for their FFA chapters to pursue additional educational projects and initiatives. Culver’s has awarded prizes of over $ 100,000 to 2015 finalists.

In addition to the option to write an essay, entrants will once again have the opportunity to submit a video for the contest.

This year’s request is:

Agriculture has an impact on the world in so many ways. Share three ways in which the industry makes a positive difference that you want people to know about.

Written essays (1,000 words or less) and videos (five minutes or less) will be accepted online until the deadline of April 11, 2022, at 9:00 CT. Students must be active members of their FFA chapter for the 2022-23 academic year to be eligible.
