Livestock contracts closed mostly higher as the futures market was maintained throughout Monday’s trading.
On Monday, the livestock complex closed mostly above. Heading to trade on Tuesday, the market may observe the following interest as the market fundamentals need to be strong, but given that tensions with Russia and Ukraine have become more tense, markets may also be volatile.
Pig prices closed higher according to the National Direct Afternoon Pig Report, up $ 4.15 from a weighted average of $ 86.51 per 5,559 head.
March corn rose by 4 3/4 cents per bushel, and March soybean flour rose by $ 8.20. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 171.89 points and the NASDAQ fell 0.23 points.
