CME milk futures and cash dairy prices rise on Monday

Dairy futures and dairy cash prices rose Monday at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

Class III milk in March rose $ 0.06 to $ 22.61. April ended at $ 0.29 to $ 23.97. It closed at $ 0.48 to $ 24.10. June rose $ 0.47 to $ 23.91. Contracts from July to February ranged from eleven to thirty-four cents higher, with the highest earnings between July and September.

Dry whey remained unchanged at $ 0.7575. No sales were recorded.

Cheese Blocks rose $ 0.0125, closing at $ 2.16. There were three sales between $ 2.1550 and $ 2.1625.

The cheese barrels rose $ 0.0575 to $ 2.0275. There were seven sales between $ 2.00 and $ 2.0275.

Butter rose $ 0.0375 to $ 2.7225. There were six sales between $ 2.6875 and $ 2.7250.

Dry fat-free milk was down $ 0.01, closing at $ 1.8625. Two sales were recorded at $ 1.86 and $ 1.8625.
