There are some exceptions vaccination standards according to the Carnival Cruise Line. The company says: “We will continue to manage the release process for a small number of guests who are not eligible for the vaccine.”

“Exclusions from the vaccine for Caribbean cruises will be limited to a very small number of children under 12, as well as adolescents and adults with a health condition who can give written confirmation from their doctor that they cannot be vaccinated for medical reasons.”

Carnival Cruise Line has said it plans to offer more flexibility in pre-cruise testing requirements, and children under 5 will be exempt from vaccine or exemption requirements.

Guests over the age of two must provide evidence of a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 and 24 hours after the voyage. Unvaccinated guests must also be tested for antigen at landing and re-tested within 24 hours of disembarking on all cruises lasting more than four days.

However, all unvaccinated guests will be charged a fee of $ 150 per person aboard the Sail & Sign. This will cover the cost of testing, reporting and health and safety inspections, reports Carnival Cruise Line.

Guests who have evidence of recovery from COVID-19 in the past 3 months should not take a COVID cruise test before departure if they have passed 10 days after COVID-19 infection, have no symptoms, and may present evidence of recovery from them. health care provider.
