Bombardier will highlight sustainability at the Quebec Air Show

Bombardier will showcase its sustainability efforts this weekend as a major sponsor and exhibitor at the debut Volaria air show in its hometown of Montreal, Quebec. The show, which will feature aerial performances and a static display of aircraft, has been designed to highlight the region’s rich aerospace history, including Bombardier, which is celebrating its 80th anniversary this year.

The aircraft company will show off its new Challenger 3500 super-medium, which is being assembled in Montreal’s Dorval by some of the province’s 8,000 employees. In addition, he will highlight his EcoJet research initiative, which aims to reduce the environmental impact of business aviation. The OEM will display a scale model representing the integrated wing-fuselage design of the future intermediate business jet, dubbed the EcoJet, a project that will test unconventional aircraft configurations that could significantly reduce fuel consumption in the future.

With the support of sponsors, the festival is recognized as carbon neutral. Carbon offsets will be used to offset all greenhouse gas emissions resulting from its operations.
