Boeing is adding another 767-300BCF conversion line in China

Boeing is increasing capacity for the refurbished 767-300 Boeing Converted Freighter (BCF) truck in light of growing customer demand, it was announced at the Singapore Air Show.

An additional 767-300BCF conversion line will be added at ST Engineering partner plant in Guangzhou, China, in the second half of 2022.

“Boeing is pleased to further expand our strong and long-standing relationship with ST Engineering on the universal 767-300BCF and its global customer base,” said Ted Colbert, President and CEO of Boeing Global Services, in a statement on February 15, 2022.

The new line emerged after Boeing signed a deal with Chinese GAMECO in September 2021 for two 767-300BCF conversions.

Boeing said the 767-300BCF has more than 100 orders and commitments from customers, including recent orders from cargo leasing company ATSG and global logistics firm DHL.

The manufacturer has been busy adding credits to convert trucks for other types, and has announced plans to add eight 737-800BCF conversion lines for suppliers in 2021.
