Bob Evans hosts the second annual fundraiser for the FFA

Next week, the FFA National Organization celebrates its members and mission during the FFA National Week. Joining the holidays, Bob Evans restaurants will support education and innovation in agriculture with their second annual “Egg Crack, Give Back” promotion.

On Thursday, February 24, guests can help their local Bob Evans restaurant raise funds for agricultural education by ordering a Farmer’s Choice breakfast. For every Farmer’s Choice breakfast sold on February 24, Bob Evans restaurants will make a $ 1 donation to the FFA National Organization, up to $ 15,000.

The proceeds from the fundraising will benefit the FFA and help with the granting of Grants for Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) which provides FFA students with critical opportunities for hands-on learning, from internships and research experience to entrepreneurship opportunities. The second annual “Egg Crack, Give Back” is an extension of Bob Evans’ partnership with the FFA, which pays homage to the roots of founder Bob Evans as a farmer and the long-term goal of inspiring agricultural leaders for future generations.

Farmer’s Choice breakfast includes two freshly baked eggs cooked to order, premium meat for breakfast, homemade hash browns or french fries, and three hot cakes or two slices of brioche toast. Other varieties of Farmer’s Choice Breakfast, such as The Double Meat Farmer, Homestead Farmer and Banana Berry Farmer, also qualify for the fundraising event.

The “Egg Crack, Give Back” promotion coincides with “Give FFA Day”, a 24-hour fundraising campaign organized during FFA National Week, February 19-26, 2022. FFA National Week it helps to raise awareness of what the FFA is, how it affects the education of high school students across the country, and ultimately prepares them for careers in the science, business and technology of agriculture. Give FFA Day is Thursday, February 24, 2022, and its purpose is to encourage people to donate to the FFA to support student members and their local affiliates.

“At Bob Evans, feeding our communities – either by serving fresh food from the farm or by empowering the next generation of farmers – is the key to what we do every day. It really means a lot to continue this fundraiser for the second year, ”said Bob Holtcamp, President and CMO of Bob Evans Restaurants. “The SAE grant program is one that is closely admired and monitored every year by Bob Evans. Through our continued fundraising and partnership with the FFA, we are able to support not only the next generation of farmers, which will help ensure the integrity of what is on our plateaus, but also allow our guests to make an impact themselves. . ”
