Batch of Kasser II MRAP spotted in UAE

A production batch of the Kasser II Mine Resistant Ambush Protected Vehicle (MRAP) could be seen during the visit of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology to the country’s defense industry on August 1.

A short video released by the UAE’s WAM news agency showed a delegation led by Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jabr inspecting at least nine Kasser IIs at an unidentified facility during a visit to defense companies at Tawazun Industrial Park, located in the Zayed Military Campus in Abu Dhabi. Two were numbered 13 and 14, indicating that at least that many were produced. It was unclear whether they are manufactured in-house or undergo system integration after delivery.

The Kasser II was unveiled during the IDEX defense exhibition held in Abu Dhabi in February 2021. Claimed combat weight 17.2 tons, 400 hp Cummins diesel engine. .
