Atlantic Aviation increases SAF supplies for UN conference

Avfuel and Atlantic Aviation have teamed up to provide abundant sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) for next week’s United Nations Mountain Global Partnership meeting in Aspen.

Atlantic has started stocking continuous supply of SAF at the Aspen-Pitkin County Airport (KASE) FBO last year, and today it will receive an additional two loads of SAF Neste blended, delivered by renewable diesel tankers and placed in a new dedicated tank. Atlantic will have a specially branded “Atlantic Evolve” gas station to commemorate the event.

The conference, which is held every four years, invites representatives of the mountainous countries of the world. This is the first time it will be held in North America. Participants will include hundreds of environmental scientists, as well as about 40 UN delegates from the UN General Assembly in New York, some of whom will arrive by air via the Atlantic FBO.

“Atlantic Aviation is committed to going above and beyond when it comes to promoting sustainable aviation, particularly in sensitive mountain environments where air travel is a critical infrastructure for people, goods and services,” explained Brian Corbett, the FBO operator’s chief commercial and sustainability officer. . . “All of us at Atlantic Aviation and Avfuel are excited to increase our ongoing supply of SAF at Aspen-Pitkin Airport for this landmark event.”

Atlantic also offsets all of its carbon emissions on KASE through purchased credits.
