The role of Chief Executive Officer is an exciting and highly rewarding role where you can make a significant impact.


What does the role entail?* As Chief Executive Officer, together with the Board, you will develop and implement the strategic plan and drive the success of the organization * You will oversee the execution of programs, activities and initiatives, ensuring they are successfully delivered within budget and on schedule * By managing the day-to-day business of the organization, you will ensure that staff will be supported to meet the highest possible performance standards and ensure the maintenance and development of sound management * Monitoring of finances, you will ensure that budgets and expenditure are monitored, reported and reviewed. You will also seek opportunities to obtain potential sponsorship and funding for current and future projects and increase the value of membership benefits * In addition, you will liaise with a range of colleagues and stakeholders to develop and adopt decisions and policies, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and best practiceTo be considered for the position, you will need:* Experience in a leadership role with responsibility for external stakeholders * Experience working successfully at the senior management team level * Experience raising sustainable funding and strong budget management skills * Experience in creating and implementing an effective business strategy * Understanding of rural environments and issues with young population * Excellent people management skills * Knowledge of IT * Full, valid driving license and access to own vehicle Previous experience in a leadership role in a membership organization would be beneficial to your application, as would experience in a not-for-profit organisation. Other organizations may refer to this role as: managing director, charity director, charity chief executive, not-for-profit chief executive, CEO, chief executive officer, chief operating officer or CEO.
