Airbus and Ecocopter collaborate on urban air mobility services in Latin America

International manufacturers of manufacturing technologies will introduce smart technologies for the entire value chain EMO Hannover 2023, September 18 – 23, 2023. Under the banner of Innovate Manufacturing, the world exhibition of manufacturing technologies will demonstrate the full range of modern metalworking technologies that are at the core of every industrial production process. The exhibition will feature the latest equipment, efficient technical solutions, product-related services, sustainable production methods and much more.

EMO Hannover focuses on cutting and forming machines, manufacturing systems, precision tools, automated material handling, computer technology, industrial electronics and accessories. Visitors to EMO come from all major industrial sectors, including engineering and plant engineering, automotive and parts suppliers, aerospace technology, precision engineering and optics, shipbuilding, medical engineering, tool and mold making, steel and light structures.

“As the second largest market for manufacturing technology, the United States imports almost half of its demand,” explains Dr. Wilfried Schaefer, executive director of EMO organizer VDW (German Machine Tool Association), Frankfurt am Main, Germany. “Germany meets 17% of US demand for machine tools and is the second largest supplier after Japan. That’s why it makes perfect sense for American manufacturing experts to come to EMO Hannover 2023,” Schaefer adds.

More than 2,100 international manufacturers will be showcasing their latest manufacturing technology offerings at EMO Hannover 2023, including around 750 German and 100 Japanese companies.

“The Future of Communication” is a key industry theme and will be addressed at EMO Hannover 2023.

“The German engineering industry is convinced that open standards for customers and system suppliers worldwide are a key prerequisite for effective networking, enabling data to be collected, analyzed and seamlessly sent across all technologies in the factory,” says Schaefer.

Productivity can also be increased with smart digitization solutions. In the new “IIoT in Manufacturing” zone, EMO Hannover will highlight vertical networks and present solutions such as data analytics, data management, digital twins, cloud services, process monitoring, predictive maintenance, artificial intelligence and cyber security.

“Successfully integrating networks – both horizontally between machines, systems, tools, measuring devices, etc. and vertically from the shop floor to the cloud – will help determine how competitive companies and entire industries will be in the future,” Schaefer concludes. .

Exhibitor registration for EMO Hannover 2023 is now open. Until October 15, 2022 at https://emo-hannover.com/registration.

EMO Hannover is the number one international meeting place for the industry. More than 2,200 exhibitors from 47 countries attracted almost 120,000 visitors from around 150 countries to EMO Hannover 2019.
